National Audit Office (NAO) is now a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Law Enforcement and Government Alliance (LEGA) effective March 6, 2023. ACFE is the world’s largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education, founded in 1988, and has more than 90,000 members.

 Some of the benefits to NAO being a member include the ability to provide anti-fraud capacity-building training to its staff, as well as access to a host of resources, as the office works to establish a Forensic audit unit to enable it to investigate and report on fraud-related activities in the public sector.
