Risk Assessment and Sampling Training for Auditors
As part of ongoing interventions to enhance our audit service delivery through capacity-building programmes, we held an intensive training for our staff from August 2 – 8, 2024 on Risk Assessment and Sampling.
The training was aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial audits, and to further expose the new cohort of auditors to these concepts, the application of the different working papers and how they will treat the different audit scenarios they would face during the audit process.
The AG and DAG (Technical) in their speeches, inspired the participants to make use of the learning opportunity and to carry the knowledge to their colleagues in their respective units. They empasized on the importance of teamwork and urged the participants to take interest in continuous capacity-building to develop themselves and to contribute to the attainment of NAO’s mandate.
The training was led by NAO’s pool of facilitators with technical support from the UK National Audit Office.
