Signing of MoU Between NAO and Court of Accounts of Morocco

During the official visit to Rabat for the AFROSAI Governing Board Meeting, Auditor General Modou Ceesay signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the First President of the Court of Accounts of Morocco, Mrs. Zineb El Adaoui, on July 14th, 2025.

The MoU formalizes a partnership between the National Audit Office of The Gambia and the Court of Accounts of Morocco, aimed at strengthening professional capacity, improving audit methodologies, and promoting accountability and transparency in public financial management.

Mrs. El Adaoui highlighted Morocco’s 2016-established training facility open to AFROSAI members and expressed interest in wider SAI collaboration. Both parties emphasized the importance of digitalization and accrual-based accounting and committed to mutual knowledge-sharing and capacity-building initiatives.
